I have been married to the love of my life, Newly Hunt, for 17 years. We have two daughters who keep us busy and young! Together Newly and I are passionate about discipleship, equipping the local church and outreach. Newly also is a professional marriage and family counselor. Currently we are pioneering a movement to bring the local church back to its roots that we read about in the book of Acts. The early church moved in so much power it changed the world.  

In 2016 I took a trip that changed my life! I went to Israel on a strenuous study trip with Israel Legacy Path through GTI. It was there that all the puzzle pieces started coming together in my understanding of biblical discipleship. I couldn’t even wait until I came back home to start discipling differently. There I was halfway across the world inviting two girls to join me in exploring the text through in depth study. That same summer #becomingabiblenerd was born. It went from a gathering of three people in our church foyer on Wednesday morning to an online community of over 3,000 women in the course of a semester.

Our mission is to give people the tools and direction they need to dive into God’s word and fall in love with Him. We choose one book a semester to dive into. We tackle one chapter a week to explore. Each week a teaching on that chapter is released on Spotify and Apple iTunes. We encourage you and your friends to join us anytime!
